About Fort Myers Beach (Lynn Hall Memorial Park)

Fort Myers Beach (Lynn Hall Memorial Park)

A busy, pedestrian beach with lots of trinket shops and restaurants on the north end and sprawling condos to the south. Access from either Bonita Beach Causeway or San Carlos Boulevard. Scooter rentals and tattoo shops are a staple on the island. Bars, restaurants, parasailing and waverunners are all prominent fixtures.

Pros: Relatively wide beach by Southwest Florida standards. Lots of shops and small eateries on the north end of the island.
Cons: Some of the worst traffic in Southwest Florida. Parking is more expensive than other local beaches.
Likely visitors: Bikers, college kids on spring break, pier fishermen and people looking for a beach similar to those found in the panhandle.
Getting There:From the south, take Highway 41 to Bonita Beach Road and make a left. Bonita Beach Road becomes Hickory Boulevard, then Estero Boulevard. Make a left off of Estero Boulevard at several places to reach the beach.
Parking: Lynn Hall Memorial Park: $1 per hour at metered or pay parking lots along Estero Blvd. for Fort Myers Beach.
Facilities: There are restrooms, showers, bar & restaurant and concessions.
Hours: 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Other details: There are cabana and personal watercraft rentals, water activities, parasailing, a playground, a picnic area with charcoal grill, fishing and bait and tackle on the pier.

I was at Fort Myers Beach in May It was very nice but there were a few things that you should improve:
Have people patrolling all the time on the beach. There were people there with their dogs on the beach . If they don't want to abide by the laws they should be fined.
Also I tried to swim in the ocean First there were cigarette Butts floating by and we were stepping on empty beer cans that were in the water. I think people that litter like that should be fined as well.
