Gay rights activists plan Chick-fil-A 'Kiss In'

Gay rights activists and other supporters of marriage equality plan a national "Kiss In" at Chick-fil-A restaurants Friday to protest the fast-food chain owners' opposition to same-sex unions.

Participants are encouraged to come to the fast-food chains and kiss a fellow demonstrator of the same sex. One organizer, Carly McGehee of Dallas, said she hopes the event "helps LGBT youth who feel isolated and are victims of bullying."

The owner of the Chick-fil-A franchise in North Naples said anyone, no matter their sexual orientation, is welcomed to eat at the chicken chain today and any day.

"There are no questions when you walk through that door," owner P.J. Rodriguez said.'"We treat everyone equally and with respect."

The gatherings come two days after hundreds of thousands of customers, many of them conservative Christians, recognized "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" at more than 1,600 locations.

Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy stirred the controversy by confirming his opposition to same-sex marriage. The Southern Baptist Cathy family has long been known for publicly expressing its faith, including never opening their businesses on Sundays.

The problem here is that this establishment, a private business, is being targeted and used in a political game. If this business had put up a sign that said "we don't serve gays," the entire U.S. would support the gay activists. But this establishment is not infringing on the rights of gays; and, therefore, the gay rights activists believe that they have a right to a view; but no one else does. I believe that in order for gays to be happy today; they will have to rewrite the Bible or pick another book or leader in which to honor; because no matter how much they blame Christians for their religious views, the Bible is the Bible. This kiss-in does not represent freedom of choice or religion. It is merely retaliation and disruption.

gladesgator writes:

This idea is an outgrowth of the moral depravity associated with a gay mind. A kiss in is not like holding signs or taking political action. The type of kiss these people reference is probably not a peck on the cheek but a romantic or sexual kiss.

It would be distasteful for heterosexuals to kiss in public. Don’t we say "get a room."

The idea of a kiss in is just an in your face activity.

How many gay oriented businesses are out there? Does a firestorm erupt when someone opens a business or host an event that is primarily for a homosexual?. No

But if any business dare indicate a personal preference for family values gets crucified.

A romantic kiss is not really a public affair and to hold a kiss in where strangers come together to exchange an animated kiss is just plain gross and reflects on the insensitivity inherent a general lack of scruples.

You can sit with your back to them, or you could leave. I did not realize that there was a right to enjoy a meal in peace. But if it bothered me that much, I wouldn't go.

I did not go a couple days ago for that reason alone. I hate crowds, especially crowds of opinionated people. I will not be visiting Chick-fil-a for awhile. Not a political position at all, just waiting for the fire to burn down a bit.

This is it, right here. Great post.

Folks participating in this event will do far more to hurt their cause than improve it. Instead of showing respect by saying we disagree with your views, but respect your constitutional right to have them, an event based upon retaliation is planned.

Good luck with that. The irony of it is that this whole affair has been a boom to Chick-fil-A. They had a 500% sales increase on Wednesday, and I am sure even for folks who avoid them today there will be "make up" visits to compensate for any loss in sales.

More idle posturing from the left. Sally Quinn, who decades ago made a big, fat, name for herself by marrying aged Watergate hustler Ben Bradlee of the Washington comPost, inspired this 'gay kiss at Chick-Fil-A' stupidity.

She encouraged all homosexual, lesbian, tri-sexual, quinti-sexual, a-sexual, and other non-heterosexuals to act up in the chicken restaurants.

Likely two, maybe three participants in Ms. Quinn's idiotic pageantry will show up, if that.

Time and truth have proven Bradlee and his fellow leftist journalistas to be dead wrong.

Many, during Watergate, asked a simple question, 'What is this about, what did Nixon actually do?' Bradlee never answered that question, nor did his hack leftist propagandists Woodward and Bernstein. As does the left today, Bradlee's pinksheet propagandists instead published insults, innuendo, false information, and lies to destroy Richard Nixon.

Nothing's changed with this pack. Like the Bourbons, they've forgotten nothing and learned nothing.

Their idiotic antics will pass unnoticed, and likely more people who can't stand bullies - including the gutless type at "We Make Housecalls!" - will buy dinner at Chick Fil A.

A sea change is taking place. For decades, the leftist rats and their gutless, predatory, accomlices in the legal skindustry have been turning America into a communist, third world police state run by 'computers programmed by drug addled hippies', to quote Ayn Rand in "the Anti-Industrial Revolution".

The so-called 'gay lobby' needs to grow up and get over itself. Americans don't care what someone else does or does not do, nor do they stand in judgement. But Americans cannot stand it when others bully them for exercising their Constitutional Rights, nor will they suffer it.

That's over. Citizens have seen thru the gag and are no longer falling for whiny, bullying, leftist propaganda.

The long century of Gaslighting Americans is at an end - and that goes for the rats with law degrees who gaslight decent citizens to steal what rightfully belongs to them, too.

Emanuel is described as a thug, which also suggests he's a coward.

He's also conflicted. From one corner of his snout he whines about 'sensitivity, tolerance and gay rights'.

But from another corner of his snout, he sings hymns of praise to pal, Louis Farrakhan.

Farrakhan hates homosexuals and lesbians and is said to demand their execution, on grounds their behavior violates shariah law.

So the question for Mr. emanuel, who embraces two diametrically opposite ideologies and their respective spokesmen is this:

"Mr. Emanuel, will you first marry the homosexuals and lesbians and then execute them as your buddy Farrakhan demands, or will you first execute them and then marry them?"

Either way, it's complicated, isn't it?

No doubt, the thug mayor of the nation's gun-free murder capital will have a readymade, glib answer.

A typical leftist who believes being glib and being truthful are the same.

They're not.

It's why the left is doomed.

Jesus did talk a lot about purity and not behaving in a manner that would be disappointing to the Father and Jesus is the visible expression of the Father. The entire Bible is about Jesus.

Since the reference at hand is Romans, Let's use that as a example. Romans 1:22-32 speaks about the subject well. I am not saying that we haven't all disappointed God, we all have. The thing is 2nd Chronicles 7:14.

Well, hi! Wondered what became of you, wondered if you turned to slop and the pigs ate you.

Really appreciate your scripted, tediously predictable, fact-free, nonsensical ramblings in reply to facts stated by me and others.

It's all there for all to see in your posts: condesencion, patronization, smarminess, superior affect, false piety to promote sham leftist 'morality', everpresent contempt poorly concealed by a thin layer of liberal preachiness.

You perform a valuable service to all citizens, by so well illustrating in your posts, precisely why so many are awakening to and rejecting the hundred year long running gag called 'liberalism'. Most kind on your part to devote so much time - and so many easily linkable monikers - to educating citizens.

Your slogans are the reason so many citizens are flocking to Chick Fil A.

Were I to send you particulars on our small, family operated business, would you kindly condemn it in typical leftist manner, as did emanuel, menino, and quinn of New York to Chick-Fil-A?

Citizen reaction has made it clear, the best way for a business owner to expand customer base and sales is to get condemened by some insufferable, big-mouthed, leftist bully of the sort citizens see right thru.

Thanks again! Always a pleasure to hear from you and read your most enlightening posts!

livinginnaples...At what point did you attempt to deduce that I am homophobic from my statement, let me save you the trouble, I'm not. I am, however, in favor of free speech, and will defend Mr. Cathy's right to say what he wants, just as you have that same right, and that everyone understand that the first amendment comes at a price, that consequences can follow those actions. That's the beautiful part of our Constitutional Republic. In addition, the fact that we are a free Capitalist society, the free market helps pick winners and losers. So far, the opinions of the CEO of Chick Fil A have resulted in boosted sales. If you think Chick Fil A should suffer for his opinions, continue to support the boycott, go for it. So far, it's had an opposite effect because there are far fewer like-minded supporters of this ill-conceived assault on the first amendment and many more, like myself, that believe that the CEO is entitled to his opinion and/or agrees with it.
