Funny how people question Sarah's ability and experience. She has more than Obama! But nobody seems to talk about that. Oh, thats right, he's the medias darling.

The difference is if Palin is presented with a situation that she is not familiar with, I'm afraid she would not have a rapid intellectual response that would make her capable of a rational decision. Obama is only the media darling (if you want to consider him that), b/c he has poise, he is articulated, and a refined demeanor laced with intellectual subtleties.

Our beautiful soon to be Vice President Sarah Palin is also would be better at leading our nation in the future after a McCain Presidency than Senator Barak Obama would be in leading our nation in the future starting in January 2009 because of three areas which are as follows: ideology , experience, and accomplisments. Ideologically she is a conservative. Experientially she has two years of executive administrative governing experience . When it comes to accomplishments she accomplished 3 major things which are as follows: government reform, the state budget and the economy, and wise use of natural resources. She reformed government by standing up to the big oil companies by breaking up the monopoly on power and resources. She insisted on competition and basic fairness which ended the control that the oil companies had on the state, and thereby returning control of the state back to the people. She lead well in the state budget by generating a surplus which came about by vetoing a half billion dollars of wasteful spending. Economically under her leadership she brought about the largest private-sector infrastructure project in North American history. She also suspended the state fuel tax, and when oil and gas prices went up dramatically, and filled up the state treasury, she sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged - directly to the people of Alaska . On natural resources she has shown great leadership by beginning a nearly forty billion dollar natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence, so please vote John McCain for President and give to our beautiful soon to be Vice President Sarah Palin the opportunity that she deserves leading the nation into the future after a John McCain presidency.

After what the RNC did for Palin, paying for her pricey pants, don't we loyal Dems owe it to Joe Biden to update his hair plugs?

A rumor is circulating that a senior administrator at the Community School of Naples has been fired for stealing over $10,000 of school and student funds. This needs public verification by the school, and if true, the circumstances need to be investigated? Would funds of families and students who work hard to pay for an education need to be returned? Word is this employee already had an arrest record when hired and, if true, how can the school officials hide from their responsibility to pay back any stolen monies and be held accountable for hiring a criminal in the first place? The board would have approved these decisions, correct? What is true about how this school is managed and does this give weight to other accusations regarding the altering of student transcripts post graduation to accommodate certain students and families?

In the article on Wednesday ,Dorothy B.Zell wrote about Ricardo Rivas ,kudos to you Dorothy ,my question is where Ricardo ?why is he not in jail ,why paying money to the woman family ,is that enough ,what about jail that is what the justice supposed to be Jail and nothing else.Just because his father ,is the Police Dr.not have nothing to do with this crime ,this is a crime who has been not punished ,and should be. This crime should be punished ,it should be investigated by the regular investigators and not for the Police investigators...Let them take care of this crime ....something have to be done ,maybe in the future something have to be done. The family should take action this was a crime and just because the father is a dr.is not a excuse to not be punished .Put Ricardo in jail maybe this is a wake up call .

When is anyone going to report that Orion Bank is going under and is going to be taken over by the FDIC??? This is a huge story for Naples, where the bank has a large presence and is based!!
The public, especially in these economic times, deserves the right to know and protect themselves.
Just google "orion bank failure' and there is a bunch of reports from other papers that come up. Why hasn't NDN reported this?!

I think we can all agree we need some health care reform.
It's a shame that the Republicans didn't address some of the issues that now concern them when they had the Congress and Presidency.
Maybe each party should get their group in a room, make their proposals, see which ones they agree on, see what compromises can be done, and go from there.
But I really am tired of the Republicans complaining about Obama and his offer for health care when they did nothing, got that? Nothing.
So, it makes it seem they are not really interested in solving problems like health care and the deficit when they did nothing.
I remember reading in Paul O'Neil's book (he was the first Treas. Secretary under Bush) that Cheney said deficits don't matter, so from them on, their irresponsible spending spree began. And the problem is their spending spree did nothing for this country. Not only nothing, but took us down big time.
The Republicans have truly lost their way and are now reduced to only carping at anyone trying to do something.
I'm not totally happy with Obama, for I would like to see us out of Iraq, as he talked about, and also diminishing our forces in Afghanistan. How long do we have to be hit over the head to know these are losers.
I want tort reform. Our tort laws are ridiculous, but no one does anything. The problem is both sides have their lobbyists whom they want to please, and forget about us.
Why didn't Republicans address our dependency on foreign energy? What the heck were they doing all those years they were in power besides invading countries and entering into the realm of nation building?
Seems their big issues are abortion, worrying that women might have the right to make decisions about her own body and also promoting their religious beliefs.
I can't find a positive thing they're offering, and if they want to help this country, they'd better get on the stick and start using some of the principles they used to believe in.

Mega, you failed to note he seldom deals in his infamous "clarity" and is, in fact, a skilled liar. His Chicken Little approach to issues is becoming humorous, "...if we don't pass healthcare, we'll be bankrupt...", "we need this NOW...", and the infamous, "stupid cop..." comment before he had any of the facts. This does not suggest a great intellect but a knee jerk Marist

Couldn't help but commenting on the full page Christian religious ad for a local business and then also noticing that the hours of operation included Sundays.
Why doesn't this seem right to me?
Guess religion counts only when it's convenient and when it doesn't interfere with making a profit.
